DITENCO was founded in 2020 by Athanasios (or Thanasis in short) Dimaratos. He obtained an MSc Mechanical Engineer and PhD from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece. Thanasis has long experience in research, combined with practical skills developed through activities in the field and working in the industry. His PhD thesis and related work was in the area of combustion and emissions from internal combustion engines, ranging from single-cylinder research to heavy-duty multi-cylinder and large-bore two-stroke engines. His post-doc activity focused on real-world vehicle performance and emissions and assessments of advanced biofuels.
Our work focuses on the desired target and we avoid distractions. We apply methodologies that ensure high precision, making any necessary engineering assumptions and estimations.
Starting from a top-down approach, we dissect each problem into smaller components, we identify the main elements and then focus on the details, without losing the big picture.
Having at hand all the details, we build the optimal solution through a bottom-up approach. All the factors that have a decisive impact on the subject under study are taken into consideration in our assessments.
Our strong theoretical scientific background, acquired through university studies and much research at the highest level, seminars and conferences is uniquely combined with our practical experience, gained through activities in the field, workshops and trainings.
The many projects we have worked on across Europe and beyond have connected us with like-minded and skilled engineers in industry, reserach organisations and academia, with whom we have shared and valued partnerships and are in a continual exchange of knowledges and services.
